PROPANE HANDLING AND EXCHANGE
Course Overview:
Propane is used for residential, commercial, industrial, and construction applications. This Propane Handling & Exchange Certification course will teach you the basics regarding the safe handling of both liquid and vapour withdrawal cylinders, the safe usage, storage, and exchange of cylinders, along with how to properly inspect cylinders and handle emergency situations. This course also explains the components of cylinders and the science of propane to ensure a thorough understanding of the way this chemical works and how to keep yourself safe when working with it. You will also learn the legal requirements for competency, emergency response and emergency first aid. Upon successful completion you will receive a certificate of completion consistent with the CSA (Canadian Standards Authority) Regulation B149.2-10 Propane Storage and Handling Code in Canada and OSHA 1910.110 Storage and Handling of Liquified Petroleum Gases Code in the United States.

Knowledge testing is conducted throughout the course. Test questions are designed to reinforce the information presented and must be completed by each participant. A mark of
80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Each participant is allowed to repeat the course
TWICE if the course pass mark has not been achieved on the first attempt.
